Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) plans to reopen the new FSWP on May 4, 2013. The goal of the program is to attract potential immigrants who possess the educational credentials, skills and work experience necessary to contribute to the continuing growth and prosperity of the Canadian job market and economy. As a result, CIC developed a new set of eligibility criteria and set out a new list of 24 occupations that potential immigrant can apply under.
